Mary’s Sanctuary - Vepric

At the western entrance to Makarska, there is a Croatian sanctuary Vepric, embraced in a natural ambience, at the hill sides, in the forest.

• For its natural beauties, serenity and peace, this sanctuary is frequently visited throughout the year, and the main pilgrim days are on 11^th February, 25^th March, 15^th August, and the 7^th and 8^th September

The Croatian sanctuary Vepric is dedicated to Lurd’s mother of God, and was founded in 1908. The natural cave and the whole landscape, with its hills, vegetation and little river, very much remind of Lurd, where mother of God has shown herself to Bernardica Soubirous for 18 times, in 1858. There is a sacristy, an altar at the square, confessional, they are all places for spiritual exercises and processions, For its natural beauties, serenity and peace, this sanctuary is frequently visited throughout the year, and the main pilgrim days are on 11^th February, 25^th March, 15^th August, and the 7^th and 8^th September.

The wholly mass is held every day at 3 o'clock in winter and 5 o'clock in summer.

The masses are kept outdoors!
